The dining room of Tevzebi at night — warm pendant lamps, dark banquettes

Fish Pub·Tbilisi·Est. by Studio 995

TEVZEBI

Tevzebi — the Georgian word for fish.
Everything else follows from that.

01 — The Idea

We are a design studio that opened a pub, not a pub that hired a designer. Every chair, every lamp, every fish that leaves the kitchen — designed and owned by us.

— Studio 995

The whole fish. Nothing less.

A whole grilled fish feast laid across the table with salads and wine
Grilled over open fire, served on paper — the way a catch deserves.
Close-up of charred fish with lemon and green adjika
Lemon, fire, salt, herbs. That's the recipe.
A wooden tray of fried smelt, grilled fish and rice being shared
Trays are meant for four hands, minimum.

02 — The Room

A pub built like
a cabinet of curiosities

03 — The Bar

A waistcoat,
a jigger,
and no hurry.

Wine from small Georgian cellars, chacha in crystal decanters, cold beer for the fried smelt, and cocktails measured properly — by a man who takes his time so you can take yours.

Bartender in a dark waistcoat pouring bourbon into a jigger
Vintage crystal decanters on an engraved metal tray

"You don't order at Tevzebi.
You gather."

The table is the whole point.

Booking takes thirty seconds. The fish takes a little longer.
